The team and role
In a nutshell, we see our internal communications team being responsible for providing clarity on the big picture (the what, the why and the what it means for me) and making it easy for managers and employees to exchange ideas, information and questions. This means the following outcomes lie with you:

  • Supporting the internal communications team with delivering on our internal communication vision and strategy.
  • Managing our communications calendar and looking for ways to improve tracking and measuring our communications.
  • Supporting with internal communications event logistics, including room bookings, IT engagement and stakeholder coordination.
  • Supporting high impact campaigns to deliver big initiatives such as product launches, financial results, community projects, celebrity campaigns and our infamous hack days.
  • Assisting our channels manager to promote free-flowing communication, using the latest technology.
  • Supporting employees on how to be better communicators with our team’s helpful tools, templates, how-to guides and training.
  • Seeking out the stories that demonstrate our progress, and the people to tell them, and making them visible in all the right places.

 

Desired Skills and Experience
This role is made for someone who wants to work in a young, vibrant, passionate and proud team and who has the creativity and drive to make communicating at REA simple, efficient and stress-free. To join the team, you’ll need to have:

  • A highly creative communication style – we’re not a corporate, we want energy and creativity to filter through our internal comms.
  • An eye for detail, hyper organised and be quick to deliver – we move fast, so you need to keep your finger on the pulse at all times.
  • An ability to influence internally and collaborate – you’ll work with a wide range of people, from sales to IT so you’ll need to be comfortable working with different styles and adapting to different approaches.
  • A communications degree or experience working in the profession is preferred.
